“If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you.” 2 Thessalonians 1:12 MSG
Some friendships help us honor God and these should be nurtured, other friendships place us in situations where we are tempted to disobey Him; these friendships have the potential to do us great harm. Because we tend to become like our friends, we must choose our friends carefully. Because our friends influence us in ways that are both subtle and powerful, we must ensure that our friendships are pleasing to God. “My soul will feast and be satisfied, and I will sing glad songs of praise to you.” Psalm 63:5
There’s a need inside of us which can’t be satisfied. It can’t be filled by food, possessions, or entertainment. It may be the part of us calling out to be fed is our soul. There is within us an appetite for God which only He can satisfy with His presence. Whether in prayer, worship, bible study, or service, our soul must be nourished by God. The next time you feel a longing, allow your soul to be filled by God. When we do allow God in, we will find He is what our spirit is seeking! Live in Your God-given Blessings Today! “I find rest in God; only he gives me hope.” Psalm 62:5
If you have gotten to the point that you feel you can’t continue, perhaps it is because of legitimately strenuous tasks. More often than not, this happens when you handle your responsibilities in your own strength. You keep working and pushing, feeling that if you fail, everything will fall apart. You trust yourself for success rather than God, and it’s wearing you out. You need to rest and trust that God will re-energize and inspire you. He’ll show you how to work smarter, instead of harder, and accomplish everything in His strength! Take a break and let Him restore you! He’ll fill you with His wisdom and empower you for all your tasks! Live in Your God-given Blessings Today and Give Thanks! “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” Isaiah 55:6
In truth, God is always close to us when we genuinely seek after Him! The real problem is, we drift away from God, we lose interest in God, and we leave God’s presence. As a child, we long to know Him, as a tender Father knows his child. We have to seek His nearness to know His presence. Let’s seek God and receive His grace and His help while we recognize He alone is the one who truly saves Us! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders; he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.” Psalm 55:22
Always make your loved ones a priority in your life. And understand sometimes God will use circumstances to prevent you from helping them when they’re struggling. Whether it’s because of distance, health, responsibilities, or even relational barriers, God may have allowed the separation to keep you from interfering in what He’s teaching them. You may want to shoulder a burden only He can carry for them or He is refining their character through their troubles. Whatever the case, shift your worries about them toward God. He’s able to care for them better than you. Keep praying and let Him work! Patience is the virtue that transforms an angry tongue. Patience takes time to hesitate and evaluate. It rejects anger sins. True patience finds its strength in an unflinching focus on God and an unconditional love toward those who have hurt us.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2
There are many whose lives are ruined by anxiety, worry and fear. Paul says, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7). In times of adversity, there is absolutely nothing we can do in our own strength to solve our problems. Jesus said without Him we can do nothing, take heart because He also said in God, all things are possible! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! |
