“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Being quiet before God requires us to get away from the distractions of life and allow Him to speak to our soul. Work, family, television, even the cares of the day can intrude on our reflective time and interfere with how well we can hear what God is saying. Stop, listen, and reflect on what God says to each of us. Many times, we hear God the loudest in the quiet. Shhhh…… In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.” Psalm 109:4
Whenever someone hurts us, we can choose one of two paths: The road of bitterness. We think carefully and deeply on their wounding words and actions until they paralyze our heart. The road of blessing: This leads us to God, to whom we release their cruelty against us. When we realize God has forgiven us of the wrongs we’ve done, and to be like Him we must forgive them also. This path brings us closer to God and develops His character within us. People’s failings can either draw us closer to God or paralyze our heart against Him. Forgiveness of and in the heart will give us the peace that surpasses all understanding. Live in Your God-given Blessings Today! “Your love reaches higher than the heavens, and your loyalty extends beyond the clouds.” Psalm 108:4
Think of the person we love most, the person we would do anything for. Examine the depth of your love for him or her. Perhaps the one you love deepest is you. Any love we could feel for another, or even for our self, pales in comparison to the love of God. There’s a limit to our love, but God’s is unlimited. There are conditions to our love but God’s love is unconditional. God’s love is so vast, noble, and astounding that it’s on a whole different level. We cannot imagine how amazingly powerful and profound His love is for us, so rejoice that nothing can ever separate us from it! Live in Your God-given Blessings Today! “He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23
God doesn’t need your thanks, praise, or adoration. He doesn’t need an ego boost or validation. Rather, God asks you to express your gratefulness because of what it means to your own soul. It’s in those moments of thanksgiving when you realize that He’s the source of all your blessings, and that they’re not given because of your worthiness but because of His love for you. As your words echo back into your ears that God is the great Provider, His power fills you, and your heart is transformed! Thank Him for His goodness to you! Sing out your gratefulness to Him! The one who’ll be most blessed is you! Amen! Live in Your Blessings Today! “Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.” Psalm 106:12
It is extremely freeing when we realize, “God, I never want to be without you. I know you’ll always love and help me.” It takes time to internalize God will never lie to us. It requires many instances of experiencing His faithfulness to completely understand God is absolutely unlike the people who’ve let us down. Truly trusting God is near automatic, He’s a patient and wise teacher. Let’s set our hearts on realizing the truth about Him, and rejoice as we discover our best hopes are true. When we learn to trust God and see His faithful activity in our life, we will want to sing and shout for joy! Live in Your God-given Blessings Today! “O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirst for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 61:1
During the rainy season, a cactus stores water inside its limbs to use in times of drought. Many birds and animals are drawn to the safety of a cactus, and there are several types of birds which sit directly on the cactus and drink the water stored there. Jesus described Himself as the Living Water. He said that if we drink from Him, we would never thirst again. Coming to the well during the desert times will refresh us and give us strength to refresh others. Let’s water ourselves daily, spending time in God’s presence, and find springs of abundance overflowing into all areas of our life. Letting this abundance flow over into the lives of others.
