“Happy is the person whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned.” Psalm 32:1
No one has to tell you what the worst things you’ve done are. They burn in our heart, destroying our joy, always condemning us. Just when we really feel loved by God, an awful thought destroys our peace. When God forgives us, He does so completely, He makes us absolutely clean. We never have to remember those sins again. He certainly doesn’t. Let us confess our sins once and for all, and whenever thoughts of our past plague us, think about God’s perfect forgiveness. Rejoice that when He looks at us He sees a person He truly loves! “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you.” Colossians 1:3
As believing Christians, we are blessed beyond measure. God sent His only Son to die for our sins. God has given us the priceless gifts of eternal love and eternal life. We, in turn, are instructed to approach our Father with reverence and thanksgiving. When we slow down from our busy schedules and express our gratitude to the One who made us, we enrich our own lives and the lives of those around us. God has blessed us beyond measure, and we owe Him everything, including our eternal praise. “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed.” Isaiah 54:10
Most of us have experienced how changing circumstances of life have an influence on us and those we love. One moment we experience joy, the next we are in despair. Regardless of these events in our life, we have the assurance of God’s love for us. However despondent we may be, let us never lose sight that Jesus loves us with an eternal and perfect love! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers.” 1 John 3:14
Everything Jesus was, everything He taught, and everything He did was a manifestation of God’s love! The love of God enriches the lives of everyone who allows Him to pour it into their hearts. It’s possible to experience the love of God and afterwards our life becomes a channel of God’s love. This is the wisest way we can choose to live. The opposite of love is hate. When the love of God is a powerful force in our life and His love reaches out to others through you, our own life is enriched in a way we never thought possible! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
When we were baptized into Christ, we shared in His crucifixion and we were raised up to be a new person. Christ is alive in us. The real challenge is for us to be Christ alive in our world! Our motivation? Not to earn salvation, which has already been given us by grace, but to honor Him who sacrificed all to save us. See Romans 6:1-14 In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped, my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” Psalm 28:7
The psalms are all about trusting in God. That’s because they were written by real people who had real emotions about real struggles. When they cried out to the living God, He truly helped them and vindicate their faith in Him. Though the psalms are beautiful and poetic, they are the authentic feelings and experiences of people just like you. Just as the psalmists trusted in God and saw His victorious provision, so can you. Whatever you are facing today, there is most likely a psalm that echoes your emotions and its conclusion is most likely this: trust God. The psalmists did, and you should too. “Love must be sincere.” Romans 12:9
At times we may doubt the sincerity of people’s love who surround us. We never need to doubt the sincerity of God’s love for us! Love compelled Him to come to this world in the person of Jesus Christ to suffer and die on our behalf. It was love which gave Jesus Christ the victory over death and made Him ascend to heaven where He intercedes for us. It was love which urged Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and offer us the gift of The Holy Spirit! This world will never know any Love greater than Jesus Christ! Jesus gave us the example of sincere Love and urges us to Love one another as He loves us! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “You have put gladness in my heart.” Psalm 4:7
A joyful countenance has nothing to do with one’s age, occupation (or lack of it), or one’s geography or education or marital status or good looks or circumstances. Joy is a choice. Joy is a matter of attitude that stems from one’s confidence in God-that He is at work, that He is in full control, that He is in the midst of whatever has happened, is happening, and will happen. Every thought a person dwells upon, whether he expresses it or not, either damages or improves his life.
"We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8:26-27
Sometimes the pain is so deep that we can't even pray. We want God to make the pain stop, heal the disease, repair the relationship, restore the job. But deep down inside we know that may not be what God wants and so we don't know what to pray. When our hearts are at a loss for the right words the Spirit takes over. He lives within our hearts and He cries out to God for us. So when you can't find the words, be comforted the Holy Spirit is interceding for us, and God hears His prayers. In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! |
