“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.” Psalm 141:3

Do we say, “I can’t” or “God can”? Do we declare, “I’m not strong enough” or “I can do anything through Him who strengthens me?” Do we proclaim, “It’s impossible’ or “With God everything is possible”? Thinking about what we articulate in our speech, do we focus on our weaknesses or God’s strength?

It’s no wonder our speech is negative when we are constantly measuring our burdens against our ability to handle them. When we focus on God, we realize He can handle anything we face. We can either talk ourselves into defeat or call upon God for the victory! Let’s voice our praises to God’s amazing power and perfect wisdom. It’s the surest way to triumph!
