“He makes me like a deer that does not stumble; he helps me stand on the steep mountains.” Psalm 18:33
There are certain things that you can learn only by doing them. No amount of explanation of geological formations can prepare a young deer or goat for getting up to the apex of a mountain. The deer or goat must strengthen its muscles by actually climbing. Likewise, your faith can only grow in the midst of the doubts and unknowns of your circumstances. You exercise your trust in God, and He strengthens your spiritual muscles so that you can reach higher and achieve more with Him. Continue to climb the mountains! “It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.” Proverbs 16:19
Compassion usually calls for a willingness to humbly spend oneself in obscurity on behalf of the unknowns. Truly compassionate people are often hard to understand. They take risks most people would never take. They give away what most people would cling to. They reach out and touch when most would hold back with folded arms. Their caring brings them up close where they feel the other person’s pain and do whatever is necessary to demonstrate true concern. “Lord, You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future.” Psalm 16:5
Caught in traffic and feeling the anxiety of the things you have to accomplish today, the only thing ahead seems to be the unblinking red taillights of the car in front of you. You’re stopped, stuck, with responsibilities behind you and more before you. This situation is frustrating because you cannot see any relief or reward in the future, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that things will never change. God is going to bless your hard work and faithfulness. Go to God for comfort in these wearisome times and draw your strength from Him. Be patient and keep watch. Soon enough the light will turn green on all of your blessings. Amen! Thank you Lord for Your blessings! “The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” Psalm 12:6
It’s often been said that words can’t injure like a rock or a stick could, but the truth is that sometimes they wound you in a manner that’s far more dangerous. While physical abrasions heal, abrasions made by words can pierce the heart and fester. Years after you’ve forgotten they were said, abrasive words can cripple you in way you don’t even realize. Yet God knows they’re there, and He looks upon you with compassion. He sends His Word to heal you, to root out the wounding words and restore you. Other people may hurt you with their words, but God never will. “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
Our trials aren’t superficial or irrelevant. They are vehicles of grace that God uses to bring us growth. Superficial problems call for superficial solutions. But real life isn’t like that; its headaches and stresses go deeper, right down to the bone. They touch the nerve areas of our security. But God says He is a present help in trouble. He is immediately available. Remember that wherever you travel, whatever the time of day; you can call and He will answer. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
“Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10
In order to avoid feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, fear, uncertainty and inadequacy, it is essential to cling to Christ and draw our strength from Him. No one but God knows us and our problems so intimately. God loves us so much, He keeps a vigil of all-embracing love over you. Armed with the assurance we are supported and protected by the power, love and mercy of God, we should be equipped to deal with any situation which life might hand to us. In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! |
