“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion.” 1 Peter 5:8-9
The devil preys on the godly. If you compromise your walk, you’re not really a target of the enemy. Why should he waste his time? You’re already halfway in his camp. But if you determine to stand alone and against the tide, if you determine to live according to biblical standards, be sure that your enemy is seeking to devour you. But our great hope and assurance is that the One in us is greater than the one in the world. “Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.” Psalm 77:13-14
We serve a wonderful God!. Unfortunately, we sometimes lose sight of His greatness and end up leading unfulfilled lives. Instead of growing into the fullness of His stature by focusing on Him, we try to reduce Him to our level. God is great and Scripture resounds with His invitation for us to share in His greatness! When we are aware of God living in us, our attitude to life changes and our heart will overflow with gratitude for the glory and beauty which God imparts to our daily life. In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “Whoever invokes a blessing in the land will do so by the God of truth.” Isaiah 65:16
To the optimist, the simple things in life are a constant source of joy, spontaneous laughter, the bright rays of the sun and the sounds of the birds in the trees. People who count their blessings are extremely happy. Even in their darkest moments they maintain a spirit of hope and optimism, because they know things will work out well. The more we count our blessings, the more it seems God pours them out upon our life. Our hearts will overflow with gratitude for God’s amazing love. When life becomes a burden and it seems so very dark around us, recalling our blessings is a sure way to keep a healthy perspective of God’s love toward us! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Colossians 1:15
If we had been alive when Jesus worked in the carpentry shop in Nazareth or walked along the Sea of Galilee near Capernaum, we could have said, "There goes God," and been right. The amazing reality of Jesus is He was God among us. Matthew calls Him Immanuel, "God with us." In Colossians 1, Paul pours out every superlative he can use to describe Jesus' preeminence over everything and everyone. He is God with a human face. He is the ruler, the transcendent one, who reigns above all creation. He is also our Savior and our sacrifice! In His Love, Do All You Can, While You Can, As Long As You Can, To All You Can….Have a Beautifully Blessed Day! |
